Here are some of my all time favorite Christmas songs.
This song ALWAYS makes me cry... especially when it's sung by Judy Garland.. it reminds me of my watching meet me in Saint Louis with my Grandma Bowler... but I still really love this song.
The song premiered in the movie Meet Me In St Louis, and the original lyrics were pretty depressing :
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, it may be your last,
Next year we may all be living in the past
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, pop that champagne cork,
Next year we will all be living in New York.
No good times like the olden days, happy golden days of yore,
Faithful friends who were dear to us, will be near to us no more.
But at least we all will be together, if the Fates allow,
From now on we'll have to muddle through somehow.
So have yourself a merry little Christmas now.
They thought the lyrics were TOO depressing so they changed em up to make it more upbeat.
I love the Format too much to put of the original song by Burl Ives up , but I wanted it noted that I love the Burl Ives version as well.
this was always my favorite growing up, the band Powder does a cool cover of this song too.
Just thought I'd share my favorite Christmas songs to get me in the Christmas spirits!

The Start of Something New!
So I got the idea to start a music blog from Paul Cardall's blog Local Music I Listen To. The plan is to share songs that I like and maybe a little story about them. The first one is appropriately named the Start of Something new, and even though the first High School Musical is not my favorite, I do like it. So enjoy and more songs to come soon!
